Tidbits...

***You know your eyes are bad when it takes you a solid minute to realize the strange guy staring at you down the aisle at Menards is actually your husband...I'm not kidding. I can't wait for my missing contact to come in.

***For some reason, lately Damaris has had accident after accident. I don't understand because she has done so well in the last six weeks. Nothing has changed in our life recently - so why now? And it is always when I turn my back on her for one minute - like taking the dog out, or getting Titus out of the bath. I can't be with her 24/7 and watch her every move. I hope this is just a phase, because it is getting really frustrating and annoying!

***We had a Superbowl party last night at the church. I started out cheering for the Colts - you know, living in Indiana and all, I felt like I should have some sort of loyalty...but I just couldn't help myself and started cheering for the Saints. I mean, they were the underdog and hadn't ever won the Superbowl before. What a great game, even if you don't like either team. It was so exciting and just an all around fun game. Maybe I am football game deprived - or maybe when we do watch football, it is the Lions. Need I say more? If the Saints can do it, we can do it...right? Stephen and I keep hoping. It would be so much fun if the Lions could win the Superbowl in the next couple years.

***Tired kids = cranky, overdramatic kids. It is going to be a long day.

***Dog in kennel for most of the day yesterday (since we were gone) = energetic, annoying puppy. It is really tempting to keep her in her kennel and not have to deal with the kids AND her, but I know tomorrow would be even worse if I did. So I guess I would rather just get one terrible day out of the way and be done with it.

***I really want to hide in my room...but obviously that is not an option. I am the adult for Pete's sake! :)

***We just received the title to our van in the mail...we set a goal last February to have it paid off at the end of 2009. That was over $10,000 in 10 months, and Stephen thought I was crazy. But we put every penny we could toward it, and I can only say it was God that put that crazy idea in my head because now we need to not have that payment to make it financially with me losing my job, and we had no idea we were moving last February. Plus I am so excited I could scream and run around the house right now...because that was a crazy high goal and WE DID IT in spite of so many odds. Also, a special thanks to my cousin Micheal for sending me a copy of Dave Ramsey's book, "The Total Money Makeover" which also encouraged me last year. SO THANKFUL!!!

Congratulations on meeting your goal of having your van paid off!! I add my hip hip hooray to yours. Praise the Lord! I pray you get your contact soon! How are your feeling these days? I must go take my "puppy" outside and let her out of her kennel. I can totally relate! Love you! Aunt Bonnie

That is incredible that you were able to pay that much! Great job! We are really looking forward to our tax return and my husband's yearly bonus because we may, for the first time in our marriage, be out of debt! It just depends on how much he gets for his bonus.

I hope the day went well! Crazy dog and hyper kids can be a frustrating combo- I know only too well. :)
