I LOVE Warm Weather
It was 75 degrees yesterday, and supposed to be close to 80 today...I love it - I am definitely a warm weather girl :)
Titus's face is healing very well - it is amazing to see the difference even just two days ago. He goes tomorrow to get his stitches out - and we have tried to prepare him and tell him what it will be like - and so far so good...but we will see tomorrow how he does. I really think he will do fine.
Nothing like feeling like a bad parent this week, going to Kindergarten roundup with Titus...I wasn't interested in starting him in kindergarten this fall, just an Early 5's class...but still...I found out that I really need to be more intentional about teaching Titus some things. Like he knows all his letters - just not in order. She asked him to say the alphabet, and there is no way he could do it because he doesn't know. Plus I think he needs to mature a little bit...because some of the answers he missed I KNOW that he knows - he was just being stubborn - like he refused to count higher than 10 because he just "didn't want to." Anyway, she supported my decision to keep him out another year, so I guess I should feel better about myself at least knowing my own child, right?!? He also failed his hearing test...which was strange - he was fine a year ago at his check-up. I am going to check tomorrow when he gets his stitches out and see if something could have happened with him falling on Saturday, or maybe he just has a lot of wax in his ears??? Normally they are really clean when I use a Q-tip. He also has signs of dyslexia, which I knew, and it doesn't surprise me since Stephen has it. She also said Titus is very focused and meticulous, yet constantly fidgety and moving - so hopefully not signs of ADD, which Stephen also slightly has - as in, not medicated - hopefully that would stay the same for Titus if he would have ADD too. Anyway, that was a whole lot of rambling, but there you have it :)
Stephen and I decided that with me getting a job, either we try to pick up (very quickly) where we left off when I found out I had lost my job, and look to buy a house, or we slow way down and wait. That $8000 tax credit from the government is a pretty nice benefit to buying a house, which is why we have to hurry if we want to buy! We put an offer in on a house yesterday that we really like, so we will see. I am still praying that if this is not the right thing for us right now, God will make that clear. He stopped us in our tracks last fall, which was hard, but I am so glad it didn't work out since I lost my job. I would have hated to lose a house too :(
Anyway, lots of random thoughts going through my head...
I hope you are enjoying the weather where you are...I am looking forward to getting out again this afternoon!!

Ah, to buy or not to buy...always the question. That tax credit sure makes it tempting...but then I remember that I don't have ANY money...and so that's probably not a good idea...ha...oh and no funny stories today...in fact, some pretty serious stuff instead :( ah well...
