This was like our own private beach right behind our campsites...but found out that no swimming was allowed. Oops!
So several went canoeing and fishing instead :)
Even Stephen who doesn't know how to swim and is terrified of going under braved the lake in a canoe - with a life jacket just in case, of course.
On Saturday it was supposed to rain, but it ended up only raining at night, and it was gorgeous the whole day! We were VERY thankful for that, because that could have been ugly if it had rained all day. So we went to their REALLY nice lake that we COULD swim in across the street. I even would swim in it - and I am definitely not one to even step foot in a lake like that. It was clean and not slimy at all. No seaweed or other nastiness to step into. And it was small enough that the water was warm. Plus they had a nice area sectioned off for kids that was only like two feet deep all the way across. It was great.
Watching for now...
Playing in the sand and water
Titus starting to get brave...
Damaris finally went in and let me take her to where she couldn't touch
The guys started diving for the football - all to see who could get a cool picture...I thought it was funny...
And they did get some pretty good ones!
How can you go to the beach without trying to bury at least one person...
...Or without building a sandcastle...
Damaris LOVES babies...toys or real ones :)
The guys played football in the water, too...which they said was super tiring on their legs.
That night we had cake and ice cream for Gina's birthday - Happy Birthday, Gina!!
It was raining a lot Sunday, so some of the boys came in our camper to watch a movie. I thought this was a cute picture :)
Overall we had an awesome time, and we are planning to go camping again before the end of the summer!
