I enjoyed my full night of sleep at Sunny's house, and felt much more rested the next day. We hung out, talked, and ate food brought to us by her maid (they have 3 maids, a driver, and a nanny – I can only imagine how incredibly nice that would be), and then headed out to one of the 52 malls in the city of Jakarta alone!
They took us to a REAL Chinese restaurant – complete with tanks of all sorts of fish, turtles, crabs, lobster, squid, and more. They also had the biggest menus I have ever seen.
It was all very good, and fun to try new foods!
Then Sunny showed us some of the stores she had designed and set up in the mall (that is her job), and we also got to see a really cool Lego display that some people had put together.
All too soon it was time to head back to the airport and fly back to Cambodia via Malaysia again. The Indonesian airport was kind of ridiculous – for two main reasons. First, Kara and I bought water at a Duty Free store after we went through security so that we could take it on the plane (lesson learned the first time, right?). Well, we had to go through security AGAIN before the terminals, and they said we couldn’t go through with them, even though they were sealed and everything – but they let my half empty, personal water bottle go through, and when I asked them about it, they said that one was fine, it was the sealed one. Does this make sense to anyone else?!? The second reason I wasn’t a fan of the airport in Jakarta was the fact that by the time we got to our terminal, it was probably very close to a quarter mile to the nearest bathroom, and to get to it we would have to leave the spot where they already checked us in to get on the plane and head back through security to the bathrooms. Very strange. We were delayed getting on our plane, and were not sure why, but we finally boarded the plane a half hour later. This put us into Malaysia at 12:15, which meant very little sleep since we already had to get up early to catch a 7 AM flight. We got on the shuttle to the hotel, and were more than ready to climb into bed for a few hours. But when got there, we found out that they were full so we took the shuttle back to the airport and found soft chairs at the Chocolate CafĂ©, pushed three together, tightly held on to our backpacks, and tried to sleep as much as is possible in an airport on chairs (yet another first for me).
Day 4 is next!

Your trip is intense! I can't get over how much you traveled in the first few days.
Sunny is gorgeous! That must have been so nice to see her.
Wow, 3 maids!! Crazy, I never knew someone who would need that many maids. Does she have a big family? That's cool that you got to see her again after so long!
