Valentine's Love List

I know some people hate Valentine's Day...normally I am one of them...or maybe not hate, but just don't really care about it. Neither Stephen or myself is very romantic, so it's just not our thing.

Well, in spite of all the "stuff" that Stephen and I have had going on for the last year to two years, this past year has been by far the best year of our whole married life. Which is ironic to me. We have had some very rough, extremely low spots...but some of the best times too.

So in honor of my Valentine, I wanted to post my own little love list...of things I appreciate and love about him...

• He goes to bed with me almost every night, even though he would rather stay up later - just because he knows how much it means to me
• He cooks during the week so I don't have to figure something out when I get home from work
• He constantly is telling me how hot I am...to a girl who struggled so many years with her self image, it is nice to know he finds me attractive :) He honestly makes me feel better about myself just being around him. I love that.
  
• Sometimes he surprises me on his day off and brings me lunch so I can eat with him and Damaris while I am at work
• He is my best friend
• I am not a touchy-feely person...and he is...and he is turning me into one - at least with him :) :) :) I love snuggling with him, hugging him, etc.
  
• He lets me take all our leftovers to work for my lunches
• He tells me he loves me all the time
• He spends every Friday (his day off) with Damaris (and Titus when he doesn't have school)
• I enjoy spending time with him
  
• He loves to do date nights
• I can talk to him about anything
• He loves giving me hugs - pick me off my feet and squeeze me hugs! :)
  
• He pushes me out of my comfort zone - and I enjoy life more because of it
• He is a fun person to be around
• He likes to go camping - a childhood favorite of mine
• I love that he is a handyman. He knows how to do basic things on the vehicles, he can fix most things around the house, and he recently laid the floor in our bathroom! I am all about saving money :) :)
• He makes me laugh
• He likes to include me in what he is doing or involved with
  
• I enjoy listening to him preach...he is a gifted speaker!
• He loves me in spite of times when I can be critical, cold, and hateful.
• I love cuddling and watching movies together
• He is always so supportive of me, no matter what I choose to do or not do!
• He is quick to apologize - something I need to learn!
  

I love you so much, Stephen! You truly are my soul mate!!
