The last few weeks have been hard and they have been busy. I am not sure what is worse, other than when it is both :)
But the last few weeks have been good, too. It is exciting to be stretched, even though it can be painful at times too.
I love singing alto, and at church I am starting to sing alto on the praise team...the problem is that music, although I LOVE it, it something I have to work at and does not come natural to me. Especially not alto - I always have to have the notes in front of me to sing alto. But on our Praise Team, if I am going to sing alto I have to make it up. It is very hard for me, and I am hitting a few wrong notes, but I am trying to learn how to do this. It is hard to not get discouraged, but I do love singing the alto part, so I am going to keep at it!
Damaris is so cute in dance class. She is singing and practicing at home and everything. We missed her dance recital on Sunday though because there was no way to get there in time from church, plus I had stuff going on after service...
Last week I had been planning and cooking for a workshop I did at the church for my business. They have an AMAZING non-profit program of which our church is a part of, so I wanted to do a workshop for others in the church so they could learn about the wellness company and support the church at the same time. I planned on a meal for 100 people, and we probably had 50-60, which was still good. I had a lot of leftovers on some things and not nearly enough of others. Oh well, no one went hungry and I learned how to plan better the next time :) :) :) It was fun, because since it is March, and most people think of the color green for St Patrick's Day, and because Melaleuca is a wellness company, my theme was "Going Green." And all the food was green :) I made homemade broccoli cheese soup and dinner rolls (dyed both green), green grapes, green macaroni and cheese, lime jello, salad with green peppers, celery, broccoli, and cucumbers. I dyed even the ranch dressing and the margarine green :) :) And I also found salad dressing at Wal-Mart called Green Goddess that was already green, and actually very good! And I made green rice crispy treats for dessert and had lime Kool-aid for drinks. It was all yummy, but I was TIRED after it was all over. The workshop was really good, and even though I don't necessarily like talking in front of others, I felt confident and I think I did pretty good!
Titus has been doing a LOT better in school. We were getting notes home all the time, and now we hardly ever do. I am very thankful for this, since it was pretty stressful and frustrating for a while there.
If you think of it, pray for Stephen. Things are still really hard and rocky at the church. Praying so hard that we can all come together as a unified body. On a good note, we will be growing our church by 4 this summer for sure...4 of our friends are pregnant :) :) :)
My work has been busy for Frontier. I love the company and my boss and the guys I work with. Things are really picking up and getting busy, which I like, but it also makes me feel busier because when I had down time at work I could get online and catch up on personal things, but now obviously my work comes first :) :) I am now processing all invoices which is more up my alley, so that is kind of nice. Plus I had a lot of fun creating a report and analyzing data...something I haven't been able to do since I left IWU, and very much miss it. So I had SO MUCH FUN last week doing that. I know, I know...I am a nerd :) :)
Anyway, this is a whole lot of nothing that I wrote here, other than an update on our life ;)
Have a great week everyone!!
