Catching Up

I can't believe it has been almost a month since my last post!!!  We have had a very busy month, and I haven't taken ANY pictures...crazy.

So what have we been up to?  Well, here is a list of some of the things we have been doing the last four weeks:
  • Church, church, and more church.  We have choir practice every Thursday night and we have drama practice every Sunday after church...all gearing up for Easter of course :)  Plus of course committee meetings and Praise Team and everything else we are a part of on a regular basis outside of Easter :)
  • We thought Titus had a cavity, so our normal dentist referred us to a pediatric dentist...but it turns out that he DOESN'T have a cavity and that our insurance will pay for us to go to the pediatric dentist, so we are switching for a while.  It is a good sign when the kids don't want to leave, and when you tell them that they will be coming here for their next cleaning they start cheering.
  • Volleyball.  I play every Sunday night with a group (20-25 people) at our school, but as we prepared for a tournament that we were a part of last Saturday (we took second place!!!), we had a bit more time invested into playing.  It was a TON of fun...I absolutely LOVE volleyball, and I can't express enough how much I love going and being able to play!  It is tough competition, and I wouldn't want it any other way!
  • I have been sick 3 out of the past 4 weeks.  I was just over one virus and caught another.  :(  Thankfully no fever or anything else that would make me miss work, but enough to feel absolutely miserable.  I am just now feeling better and I hope it stays that way!!!
  • I hit ANOTHER deer.  And over $5600 of damage later, I finally have my car back after 3 weeks in the shop.  Crazy to go so long without hitting one, and now to hit two in just a few months of each other.  NOT fun, but I am soooooo thankful for insurance, and that the kids and I are all OK!!
  • We had a REALLY rough go with Titus at school...it was pretty stressful, and hard to not feel like a complete failure as a parent.  We have always struggled keeping him on task and finding appropriate consequences for his actions, but I think we may be on to something now!  He lost all his toys when he got in super big trouble at school, and has to earn them back by good behavior.  It was a rocky start of gaining and losing again, but the last two weeks have been the best two weeks of the whole school year, and yesterday he actually flipped UP on his behavior chart (not just maintaining or going down) and so he earned EVERYTHING back.  I told him if he does this again today, he can get the Wii back, too!  We shall see...I really would like to see him do it!
  • We got rid of our cat :(  Even though we all loved Wall-e and wanted him to be a part of our family, our only other option was to put him outside in our barn, and he is just too loving and friendly for that!!  So we found a really nice home for him where he will get all kinds of loving...and where he doesn't have to sleep in the shower anymore, and we don't have to worry about keeping our dog out of his kitty litter!
  • I have a "new" office at work.  The sales department hired a new Regional Sales Manager, and he apparently "had" to have an office in Mt Pleasant, but we have no more space here!  So he took my office and I moved out into a common area outside my bosses office and our conference area.  It really has been fun to relocate and create a new space, so I don't mind at all.  And a benefit is that I am right under a heat vent now :) :)
And that is "it".  It felt a lot busier than me typing it all out :)  There were several times that I wished I had my camera, but I didn't...I hope that I can be better about blogging this next month...it really is important to me since I use it as my scrapbook!  Anyway, I hope you all are having a great week...Spring (weather-wise) is just around the corner!!!

You guys have been BUSY! I'm glad everything is well, but I'm sorry to hear about your car. How frustrating!

I can't remember if I told you this or not, but one time a deer, literally, ran into my car, flipped up on top of the front and then ran away. It was crazy! I was slowly down to stop at a stop sign when it happened, so no damage was done.

Oh, and I hope you stay healthy for a long while! Hopefully the warmer spring weather will help that.
