Boat Race

Our youth group had a fun event a couple of weeks ago...a cardboard boat race!   Each teen that wanted to participate was paired up with another person outside the youth group.  At youth group one night, each team was given a set amount of cardboard and a set number of rolls of duct tape, and then had a certain amount of time to create their boat.

The following Sunday, our church voted for the best boat as a fundraiser to send a youth member to camp this coming summer, and then the following night at youth group, the race was on!

Everyone got 15 more minutes and an additional roll of duct tape before we went down to the lake...

What a great night, and a great turnout from others in our church that came to support the youth group!
