We also did the after Thanksgiving shopping (what better place than Grand Rapids?!?). It is the ONLY time I ever enjoy shopping...which some of you may think is crazy...but we have it down to a science, and it is in and out, no browsing, fast...which I like. My dad drives everyone around and drops us each off at key locations...one person grabs the item the other gets in line while one or two others do the same in another store. We call when we are done and he gets us and takes us to our next spot. It is great! We left at 4:30 AM and were completely done shopping before 7:30!
I tried to get together with some of my friends from high school while I was home, but that kind of fell apart and only one person ended up showing up. We had a great time, though, and it was fun catching up and just talking one on one. Sorry, no pictures of that :(
Here are a few pictures from our time in Allendale:
My sister and Titus watching TV together
Grandpa Snyder and Titus
I just thought this picture was too funny :)
Titus loves cars...and was even more excited to get a shiny, new, red one! This is Lightning McQueen from the movie Cars, and it is a pretty cool car - you can program it to say things and go where you want it to...kind of like remote control cars without the remote :)
Titus aparently thought his new shirt was a blanket...because he laid down on it and said "nuh-night" :)
Baby update: We went in today for my monthly check-up (I am 17 weeks) and like I thought (and hoped!), they had me schedule an ultrasound for December 19. They could do it now, but are waiting a couple weeks since we want to know the gender. They said 20 weeks is the best time - and since we want to be sure, we agreed to wait!! :) On a positive note (for me), only one heartbeat again - this time with him slowly listening all over my stomach. Plus I am once again measuring normal...so I am about 99% sure there is only 1. Whew! I am still feeling sick, which is NOT fun...plus I have been having super bad headaches...my blood pressure was up before which may have been causing some of it, but was normal today. The only thing I can take is extra strength Tylenol, and sometimes that doesn't even help...isn't pregnancy FUN?!? :)
Other news: I had a pretty good birthday yesterday - 26 on the 26th :) :) If nothing else I didn't have to WORK, so as an adult, it really can't get much better than that :) Plus Stephen took me out to eat for lunch, so that was nice not having to cook...we started Christmas decorating, which is fun, but time-consuming.
Overall, a great Thanksgiving break and time away from responsibility :) Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving as well!!

Happy Thanksgiving and Happy birthday! Sounds like you guys had a great weekened.
Happy Birthday Michelle!! So are you planning to be at the Mowat Christmas on the 30th? I'm soo excited because Dave and I will be there, I haven't gone to a the BIG Mowat Christmas in a few years!
Good to hear you had a great weekend and that Titus slept well for you! Happy Birthday!
Yes, pregnancy can stink sometimes but hopefully the sickness part will be coming to an end..... maybe it is a girl!! My midwife told me that sometimes with girls because of the estrogen they produce can make you more sick. (some people)It will be fun to find out soon what this little baby is going to be!! Also, we would love to come to your party but Gene actually works that weekend! If things change we will let you know!! Hopefully, we will see you sometime soon again!! Maybe after the holidays!!
I have been saying all along that I thought it was a girl, so we will see if I am right! :)
Happy belated Birthday, Michelle! :)
Hi Michelle! I linked to your blog through Lynette's and have posted before (I think). Just to keep you on your toes...I am a "surprise" twin, born back when there were no routine ultrasounds. My brother and I were positioned so they only heard one heartbeat for the entire pregnancy, AND the doctor told my mom she was measuring too small to have twins. Anything is possible! ;)
Jaena
Just to give further explanation of who I am...my dad is Jerry Showalter. I think he said he had you in class (not to imply that we sit around and talk about you or anything...) :)
Boy, don't I miss Thanksgiving, and seeing all of you there is greaT!
