A Little Concerned...

Things have been going well so far in my pregnancy until today…I went from 1-2 normal contractions yesterday to many contractions on and off all day today. Dr. Swan was gone, but I went in to see Dr. Mueller and everything is physically checking out OK. But he put me on medicine and he wanted to put me on bed rest for the next 10 weeks…we compromised and he is letting me stay at work only if I do not have anther day like today…I will be off work tomorrow, obviously, and taking it easy all weekend. I am SO GLAD that he is still letting Stephen and I get away!!!

We will see how I feel on Sunday night to know whether or not I will be to work on Monday. I am hoping to delay complete bed rest at least for a couple weeks. If it comes to that, I will be able to work some from home with my feet up, but there obviously are some things I will not be able to do. Dr. Bence and I are working through all of that now - like the fact that we will be getting DSL at home for faster Internet and IT is getting me a laptop as soon as the middle of next week. I do not have nearly enough vacation and sick time, and I really can't go with no pay right now - not with a whole pregnancy to pay for :) Hopefully I will be able to work A LOT at home if it comes to that...

I am trying to be very cautious – because Dr. Mueller said if it looked like I was going to deliver today he would have put me in an ambulance and sent me to Indianapolis. He said she would most likely survive, but may not have a normal life if she was born now. This is a little sobering to me, and although I know that RIGHT NOW things are OK, that could change really quick and I still need to be overly careful.
