Busy Days...

My poor little chin...now that I have gloves on I am not scratching my face anymore.
I am so small in this "huge" car seat...
My hair was getting greesy...so bath time!! At first I didn't like my bath, but then realized it wasn't so bad.
Getting out of the warm water was not as fun, though...
Unfortunately my billi counts are up and I have jaundice, so I have to be on this machine and get blood draws every day until my liver starts working faster.
It straps onto my back and makes me glow...
Well, things have been crazy here. We knew Damaris was getting more and more "tan" (you can really see it in the first picture) so we knew her counts were up. When we were discharged from the hospital on Tuesday she was down to 5 lbs 5 oz (born at 5 lbs 12 oz) and today when we went back to the hospital for a check-up, she was all the way past her birth weight to 5 lbs 14 oz!! She is doing pretty good, but we think she is afraid of the dark...she is a very calm, quiet baby except when we turn the light off at night. Then it is not fun for us!! Last night we were bad and had her sleep with us...it helped though, and we needed it for our sanity to sleep better!!

I was starting in on the post-pardom blues yesterday, so Stephen talked me into getting out of the house and riding up to northern Indiana to look at a camper we saw online. It was probably the best thing we could have done because we needed the time "alone" (Damaris slept the whole time ;) and my parents were still down to watch Titus) and I needed to do something "normal" - I feel like a whole new person now, and much more emotionally stable! Riding in the truck was better than I thought it would be, and we had a blast. Plus we found out that we might actually be able to get this camper because we could finance it for almost the exact amount we are paying now on our current camper!!! We are pretty excited and trying to work out the details.

We will keep you posted...

She's a little glow worm, I see. :) Love all of the pics - too cute!

BTW: I got one dish back from you that isn't mine, so I will make "something" and bring it by for you to have (and then pass the dish on to its rightful owner.) :)

I'm with you there in blues land. Yesterday I literally felt a wave a hormones rush over me and I immediately felt like crying for no reason. :(

Hi! You probably don't know me but I've been watching your blog from Deven's and I noticed your commment about cosleeping. Don't feel bad about cosleeping with Damaris! I wish we would have done it with our first son. This time around things have been so much better with our second and I have been actually getting sleep. As my doctor told me yesterday, most of world cosleeps with their babies and toddlers anyway. Just know the risks and be careful and you'll be amazed at the difference it can make!

Michelle, I cannot beleive how similar Damaris' and Taylor's stories are. Taylor had the same billie light --we went through that whole ordeal for an entire week. It is very tiring and sad to see your babby go through it. It doesn't take too long--she is adorable...Just remember-this too shall pass!
Hope all is getting better soon!
Love you, Carolyn
