Heading to the Hospital...

Well, I would like to say I am excited about this, but it is not on good terms that we are going. The ultrasound showed that she has quit growing for some reason. Dr. Swan described the problem as some type of a filter in the cord not allowing nutrients through. Since she is starving, we need to get her out now so that she can eat. He is not sure she is even 5 pounds right now. He is going to give me medicine to soften my cervix and if I haven't gone into labor naturally, tomorrow he will put me on petocin (sp?) to begin inducing labor. I am not really dealing with all of this very well right now...please pray #1 that I go into labor without having to be induced and #2 that things go smoothly with delivery (I feel like I have had plenty of complications already :) ). I guess I am most concerned that they will have to do a c-section, so if you could pray specifically for that, I would appreciate it.

We will keep you posted as we are able...

You are definitely in my prayers. Hopefully baby girl will decide to come on quickly and healthy.

Lord,
I ask that you be with Stephen, Michelle, Shawn and the hospital staff as they work on getting this precious baby into the world safely. May Michelle go into labor with the right medicines and avoid a c-section. Give them peace and the wisdom to make good decisions. Help them to know they are being lifted up to Your throne.

In the name of Jesus,
Amen
