Family Reunion

Sorry, no pictures :( I was really upset when I get ready to take a picture and my battery was completely dead...and then when I get home I am tearing apart the house trying to find the charger, only to realize it was in the camper the whole time, which means I could have charged it...bummer.

Stephen is feeling pretty good, but still weak. Hopefully he get get on top of things this week and get feeling better soon. What a nasty virus!!

We left Thursday morning at 6:30 AM (Stephen insisted he was fine to drive up to Michigan), stopped in Cadillac where my parents were staying with my aunt and uncle. It was my mom's birthday, so since we were so close we wanted to stop in, even if it was for a really short time.

Then we headed to Stephen's parent's in Evart where we celebrated his sister's birthday and just spent the next day and a half relaxing and spending time with family. A bunch of friends and family came over Friday night for a bonfire, which was fun. Earlier in the day we built a swing out of a horse saddle and put it in their big tree in the front yard. Other than Stephen pushing me and then twisting me around so that I flipped off and was holding on to the saddle upside down and seeing my life flash before my eyes, it was a lot of fun :) :) Saturday was the reunion and we enjoyed ice cream cones, cotton candy, and watching Titus dig through sawdust for treats with the kids (his favorite find was a plastic worm).

The ride home...not so fun. Let's just say delays because of lots of construction, almost running out of diesel fuel, screaming kids (one or both - I must have eaten something that REALLY upset Damaris...her stomach was hurting her) for about 3 or 4 of the SEVEN hours (yes, it is supposed to only take 5), and having to stop the truck to give Titus a spanking because he would NOT quit throwing a fit and screaming (he quit after he realized Daddy was serious) does not make me want to travel anywhere for a while :) Good thing our next long trip probably isn't going to be until Thanksgiving...I think I need that much time to prepare myself :)

I will try to get pictures this week...now that all of us are back in Jonesboro, feeling healthy, and my camera battery is fully charged:)

I am glad you got to go since you guys were still recovering from sickness. Sorry, that the ride wasn't very good. We went to ohio this past weekend and our ride down there was about two hours longer because Hayden isn't the greatest car baby. On the way back we left later so they would sleep most of the five hour drive!! We made much better time!!
