Camera & Kids

Our camera is out for the next 2-6 weeks...yuck! At least it is under warrenty and they will fix it. Thanks to my fabulous sister sharing her camera with us, we will still get pictures of the kids...

We have decided to enroll Titus in swimming lessons over the next 9 weeks. He starts next Saturday (26th), and we are hoping it will help him have a little more fun in the water this summer. For those of you that have been around Titus during bath time, you know the battle - especially if you have had to wash his hair. He has improved drastically over the last few months, and now actually enjoys his bath - flipping over on his belly and acting like he is a fish, putting parts of his face in the water, etc - all of which were laughable just a short time ago. He actually gets excited if he finds out that Damaris is coming in with him. I am not sure he likes how much she splashes him, though :) So it seems like his fear of water is passing - hopefully the lessons will not be a scary time for him, but rather a time for him to get even more used to the water.

Damaris is teething really bad (I assume, anyway). She has been SO fussy the last few days. She is just so restless, clingy, has a runny nose, and fights sleep even though she is super tired. I wish she could tell me what was wrong :) :) It is pretty tiring/draining, and really wears on me when she is like this - I am just not good with kids!! I would LOVE to be home more, but I could never stay at home all day every day...I have SO much admiration for those of you that do!!!!!!

Hopefully next time I post I will have pictures for you...

I'm always secretly afraid that God will call me to stay home with my kids. Sometimes I feel terrible for thinking that, and sometimes that's just how it is.

I have been wanting to put Grace into swimming lessons for two years now but with Gene's schedule it was always hard to do the Parent/tot classes. (Since I had Dax at the time and now Hayden too)I guess I need to find a class that she can attend without me because she really needs to learn some swimming techniques! I bet Titus will love it!

i completely agree! we're trying to save pennies all over the place but one of them is cutting back on daycare...so I've been staying every Tuesday/Thursday...plus weekends when Gordon works and goes to the mountain. I love my son...very, very much...but couldn't do it EVERY day allllll day. I totally commend those who do. Hugs to all of you no matter how many days you spend with your kids.

Yeah, I definetly have my days were I get stir crazy. It helps to be able to go places in the morning. I take the boys to a program at the library, we go to the store or go play on indoor equipment at the mall.

PS. for the teething have you tried homeopathic teething tablets- you can find them at Walmart. They work for my kids.
