Damaris

Damaris and Titus have definitely been gaining - neither one of them act like they are sick even though they are still battling a stuffy nose and leftover cough. However, Damaris has been eating hardly anything and not sleeping good at night this whole time she has been sick (waking up 2-3 times...I feel like I have a newborn again!!). Since that wasn't getting better, I thought maybe I should take her in to be sure this wasn't more than just a virus. So, late yesterday afternoon they had a cancellation, and even though I felt silly going in (she is 18 pounds by the way), I am glad I did! She has an ear infection in both ears!! The doctor couldn't believe the good mood she was in (and has been in this whole time other than when she had fever) and the fact that Damaris doesn't really even touch her ears. Looking back, she would occasionally mess with her ears, but I would watch her and she wouldn't do it again for the next couple days, so I figured it was nothing. The doctor kind of laughed when she started to say that Damaris should be back to her normal self in a day or two...and then stopped herself and said well, maybe I would just notice that she will start sleeping again. I am eagerly looking forward to it!!!! I am not complaining that Damaris has been happy, but it sure would have helped me get her in sooner if she was fussy or at her ears!

Sorry I don't have many pictures...the one above I happened to take this morning. Here are a couple other cute ones we took on Monday...

Stephen has been doing a lot of research and talking to people, and decided to get a small, older motorcycle to help with the long trips and driving he has to do for various house calls, district meetings, hospital calls to Indy and Fort Wayne, etc and figures this bike will pay for itself in just two summers!! Needless to say, we thought 50 mpg sounded pretty good over the 20 that our van gets and 15 for the truck!! Plus, he already has one unchurched individual that said he would get together with a group from the church if Stephen coordinated a day trip for a drive. This is the first time this individual has EVER expressed any interest in ANY church event!!

Stephen actually owned a motorcycle growing up, but this was my very first time ever riding on one. It is pretty fun; a little scary the first time but now that we have ridden a little while I think I will really enjoy it the more we ride together!! Stephen laughs at me and tells me I am becoming a biker girl :)

(Sorry, I know I promised pictures of my hair, and I still haven't taken any...I will try to get some this weekend!!)
