We decided that since we hadn't done anything special (i.e. more than one night away) since our 1 year anniversary, that we should go somewhere fun to celebrate our 6th anniversary. Stephen had never seen the ocean, so it was a pretty easy choice...and, the best part is we only had to pay gas and a few meals on the way to get away for a few days to Myrtle Beach, SC (without the kids - a BIG thank you to Stephen's parents!!!)!

(yes, that is a storm coming in, and unfortunately it was pretty crummy weather for two whole days - but thankfully Hurricane Fay stayed far away!!)
On the way home we stopped in Camdon, SC to a revolutionary battle site. This is where Lord General Cornwalls (Brittish) made his headquarters...and Camdon is the oldest inland city. It was a quick, self-guided tour, but Stephen loved it :)
Watching the sun set in Tennessee...and treating ourselves to Edy's ice cream - which happened to only be $2.50!!!!!!! That's cheaper than if we had gotten frosty's at Wendy's - and WAY more ice cream. We didn't even eat half of it!! :)

I am so excited for you guys!! I am glad you guys got away by yourselves!! I bet it was so nice and relaxing! I can't wait till Gene and I can take a vacation together by ourselves!!
