Our Sunday School class took a trip up to Michigan last weekend. We were supposed to go to Michigan's Adventure Theme Park, but it rained the ENTIRE TIME we were up there. We still had a great time! (A big thanks to my mom and dad who put us up in their house, fed us, and watched the kids!)

Playing games...and eating together (Dena is taking the picture)

Ice Skating!
We had wanted to go bowling, but it was $4 a game and $3.75 for shoes!!!!!! We said no thank you... :)
In other news, last week we said goodbye to a family of two - one being our contemporary piano player :( - and a family of 5 at church. The one couple is leaving and moving to South Carolina for job reasons, and the family of 5 is leaving because the father just joined the army. He actually left for Basic on Wednesday and the rest of his family can stay here until he is done, but we still were sad to see so many people go in one day. :(
God has amazing timing (as always), and He brought us not just a piano player...but a whole worship band!!!!!!!! We practiced last night for the first time, and it was AMAZING. Exactly what I have been wanting to do with our contemporary music section of our service for over a year now. We have a bass, two acoustic guitars, two djembe drums, piano, and singers. I was going to try to move the band in slowly, but we sounded so good last night, that it was easy to agree that we should jump right in and take away instruments if we need to (if people don't like it). The new additions to our Praise Team are college students, so I am going to be very sad when they are on breaks...BUT they are freshman and sophomores, so hopefully we will keep them at our church for a few years!
I can't wait for Sunday!!!! Now if God would just send us a song leader so that I don't have to do it anymore...but I am thankful for what He has provided already - "immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine" (Ephesians 3:20, NIV).
