I really wanted to run in the parade this year (yes, it is running to keep up!), but I have had hives non-stop since just before Memorial Weekend, and heat and exercise make them worse. Side note since I haven't mentioned this before - no, I am not allergic to anything...it is related to my thyroid disease, and has been very hard and frustrating but not as frustrating as when I kept telling doctors I wasn't allergic to anything and they kept telling me I was and that I needed to figure it out. I am SO THANKFUL I did not give up and kept going until some would listen to me!
Anyway, back to the post :)
I wanted to run, but had to drive, so we got to the parade to line up, loaded up the water we do every year, and waited to get going! Here are some pictures...
We had a second float that we got ready for the kids to be in to promote our VBS program next month
They got engaged the weekend before - Congrats Troy and Tonisha!
Damaris rode with me because with her cast, I didn't want her to get all wet. There are several that hose us down as we go around the lake!
Helping pass out candy
Afterwards we went swimming! It felt so good after all the heat - it was a hot, muggy day!!
Damaris liked being able to get in!
Another way that Damaris could still be in!
Just hanging out!
