Apparently last week was our week of "firsts" because not only did Titus lose his first teeth, I had a first - my first time hitting a deer. This is something inevitable around here...so I knew it would come one day because of the roads I have to drive, but I still was dreading it!

Thankfully I was fine, the deer was small (the size of our dog) and I hit it head on, and the airbag didn't deploy. Unfortunately our car is not fine...hood is completely ruined as well as the lower panel and the side panel, the radiator, etc, and the deer took out the driver side headlight.

Almost $4,500 worth of damage!! 

This comes at a TERRIBLE time, but what can you do??  We had it up for sale, but obviously we can't sell it until it get fixed :(

But I am just over and over again thanful - this could have very easily been SO much worse.  Stephen said I am so fortunate, because if it had been a full sized deer, I would have probably been seriously injured.  I wasn't even sore, and I barely remember there being a huge impact - although there obviously had to be!  It all happened so fast because the deer came out of nowhere, and right in front of me, and it was just a split second that I thought "I am going to hit this deer" and I did.
