These are not good pictures at all, and the house is not completely done in these pictures, but it is as close as we are going to get since Chris and Rebecca live there now, and I doubt they want me going through their house taking all kinds of pictures :) :)
Unfortunately I have no before pictures, or in-between pictures. I really wish I did, because this was quite the transformation (painted all walls and ceilings, all new flooring, new water heater, piping, most of the roof, all the trim and crown moulding, and some areas had to have new drywall)!!! So you will just have to imagine nasty, moldy carpet (it was empty for 4 years), plain walls, gross trim, etc.
As I mentioned before, we went through a LOT of paint...but since we were already painting anyway, Chris and Rebecca picked out their colors. I thought the house turned out good!
Living Room
Other half of living room - it is a huge room, which is really nice!
Master bedroom
I wasn't sure about this color, but I thought it turned out better than I thought, and it looks awesome with their bedspread!!!
Kitchen is not very big, but we put in a dishwasher, and it is really open to the dining room, so it seems bigger that way. We were soooo thankful the stove works!!
One of the other bedrooms. Small space, but it still turned out pretty good!
This is the baby's room, and it was only about 6.5' high!!! It was soooo low, plus a small room. So we took out the closet and vaulted the ceilings. There was a pipe that went all the way around the room, so we got creative and Stephen made a shelf that went all the way around and then put up rope lights. It looks amazing!!!
Here is a little better angle of the shelf...but this is a tiny room and I could not back up far enough so you could really see it!
This room gets the award for most improved...this was a NASTY utility room! It looks SOOOO much better, I can't even begin to describe to you. THANKFULLY the furnace was still good...a few parts we had to pick up to get it going, but nothing major. Whew! Since we only had a certain amount that we could put into the house, this was a major stressor, and one we couldn't know about until last minute when we turned on the gas and electric to the house. Anyway, all that to say, we are very grateful it worked!!!
Part of the dining room
The other half of the dining room. Stephen was working on trim and crown moulding as you can see :)
We are so proud of how the house turned out...we couldn't have done it with out Chris and Rebecca...they were such a huge help and the only reason we were able to get it done in time for them to move in. We joked about going into business together flipping houses :)
Now we have awesome neighbors with just a house between us. It is so cool, but I am glad to be done working on the house every minute of every day we weren't sleeping or working :) :)
