Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve was a hard one...it is the night Jim passed away, so Stephen was with the family all day, and after work, I got the kids ready and headed to the church to help get stuff around for our candlelight Christmas Eve service.  Stephen stayed with the family until the end, so several of us pitched in to help out so that we could still have a service.  It really was a nice service, and while we were in service, Stephen texted me that Jim had passed, so at the end of the service we were able to be there for each other to cry with each other and comfort each other...just like a church family should!

Anyway, by the time we all talked and grieved together and then I locked up, Stephen was only about 15 minutes behind us getting home, so I just kept the kids up and we continued with our own Christmas Eve traditions.

Family picture!

I love looking back to each year to see how much the kids have grown!

Pajamas, a bracelet with a "D" on it, and Lions hair clips (pictured above)

Stephen's turn!

(He gave me the shirt I am wearing above...so it wasn't in my stocking :)  He picked it out all by himself, too!)

He knows what it is, even though it is all rolled up! :)  I love his face here...

Then we ended the night by all sleeping in the living room together...the kids loved it!
