Tonight is our last night with our faithful, loving dog. Eva is by far the best dog we have ever had...she only had 5 short years, but she stole our hearts and was a part of our family.
For those who don't know, we almost lost her this summer, but she bounced back and we thought she was OK. We have had several weeks with her back to her normal self, but she took a very fast turn for the worst this weekend. Stephen took her into the vet today and she has masses all over her body. It is hard to see her suffer, so we know we are making the right decision to put her down, but it doesn't make it any easier.
We got Eva as a puppy in October 2009 as a gift from the church for Pastor Appreciation month!
December 2009
Eva LOVED riding in the truck, and always looked so uncomfortable when she fell asleep! We couldn't even say the word "truck" or "ride" in our house or she would get all excited :)
Eva always had to be close to us, no matter where we were or what we were doing.
Eva thought she was a 10 pound lap dog...if there wasn't room on the couch or chair, she would make room on your lap :)
Whenever one of us were sick, she would lay right by us...she just could sense when we weren't ourselves.
Eva was a snuggler! She loved laying on us.
Eva LOVED the water and would swim all day if you let her! Just seeing her tennis ball would get her all worked up.
Eva you were soooo loved, and will be missed by all of us!
