We spent a lot of time walking along the river, around town, seeing the sites, and going through different shops. Here are some pictures of our walks around Savannah!
The big bridge we crossed when we first got there
We timed it just right, because a huge freighter was just coming up the river!
Even though I am in the picture, it still doesn't quite give the perspective of just how huge this ship was!
This is a little bit better of a perspective because you can tell by the people on the deck how small they are in comparison to the ship.
Each one of those boxes is the size of a semi!
Going under the huge bridge...which makes it easier to see just how big the bridge was :)
There were several cool buildings around town
Very cool buildings along the river, too
This is a WWII memorial
They had squares all over the town, which were basically small parks, and this fountain was in the largest, most popular one.
I love the trees in Savannah...they are so pretty and almost all of them have Spanish moss on them, which I think makes them even prettier.
This is St John the Baptist Cathedral. It was so pretty outside, and even more magnificent on the inside!
