This year was a totally different camping experience for our annual family get-together Memorial Weekend. This year we didn't have Eva since she died last summer, and we sold our camper, so we were back to tent camping. It had been 10 years since we camped in a tent, and Titus was only 2 weeks old, so it was a completely different experience even in tent camping.
We had a great time, though, and I really loved it. It rained starting Sunday afternoon until early Monday morning, which was a bit rough, but we made it. Here are a few pictures of our weekend :)
Tent worms! Something that even when I was little I had fun playing with :)
Kara and Dan brought up the gifts for the kids' birthdays
Books for Titus, a stuffed animal for Damaris, and then they are also taking the kids to the Fort Wayne Zoo later this month!
Damaris found a tiny grass hopper...which is kind of a big deal that she picked it up all on her own...she is not much for bugs :)
The kids love walking down to the bridge and throwing things over the side :)
Pete, Beth, Aunt Carol, my mom, Kara, and Damaris
Water bug :)
My Dad and Uncle Ron relaxing
Another bug that Titus found
Lots of time to sit around and chat and relax all weekend...
And yes, even time for a nap!! :)
