Interviews

Stephen and I still have no idea where we are going when he is done at CLCC on May 22nd, which is hard, but overall we are hanging in there, trusting God's timing and direction in our lives!  This week has been more promising and gives us hope.  On Tuesday Stephen had a phone interview with a church that we are very interested in, and then on Wednesday we both were at an in-person interview.  We know that for the in-person interview Stephen is one of three pastors the church is considering (one is actually a great friend of ours!).  We are not sure where we stand with the other church.

The phone interview went really well - Stephen said he felt good about the conversations, so now we wait.  We are not sure when they will make a decision, but we are very excited to be considered!

We felt that the in-person interview with the second church went well, too.  We really like the board members a lot, and there is just so much self-awareness as a church and intentionality.  It is very refreshing!  They still have two more interviews to go, and then they are meeting as a board next Wednesday to discuss who they will ask to continue in the process, so we hope to know one way or another by the end of next week.

Through this whole process this week, I just realized how TIRED I am.  So switching churches and uprooting our lives feels very overwhelming right now...because it will be...and I just don't really have the emotional energy for that right now.  I am praying that God would refresh me and revive me as we close this chapter and open a new one!!!
