This past weekend was our yearly spring leadership retreat with CLCC board members and heads of ministry. I will be real honest, I was NOT looking forward to going...I was super emotionally drained and thinking about getting together with people for two days when I just wanted to be alone was overwhelming. Several asked why we were doing it this year since Stephen is leaving, but he felt strongly that we needed to go ahead with it. I am so glad he did! It was one of my favorite retreats, and I actually went back home feeling more connected and energized. I am so thankful!
Team building: build a tower and put a marshmallow on top. Tallest tower that stands with the marshmallow wins :)
Our team took a lot longer...
But we won!
High five! ;)
Then after we were done with team building game, we had an impromptu marshmallow war :) It was so much fun, especially since everyone of all ages got in on it. We were laughing and having such a great time together.
During our morning free time, a couple of us went off-road and hit some of the trails on the state land right by our District Camp where we were staying for our retreat. We had a blast, and got SUPER dirty ;)
Yep, that is all the way to the door :)
A little stuck, but that's what friends are for :)
This doesn't look like a big hill in the picture, but it was a bit scary driving down it, and then back up. It was very steep!
As you can see, we got a bit muddy :)
I couldn't even see out my window :)
