Damaris decided to carry her doll around like it was in a sling or something. I thought it was cute :)
Not a great picture, but you can see how big Eve is getting - she is about 60-65 pounds right now! She loves to be snuggled up next to you on the couch, and thinks she weighs more like 6 pounds! :)
Riding in the van
What a nut!!
I wonder where Titus gets it from ;)
The funeral went good, other than almost everyone in our family and Stephen's family had some sort of cold/virus. My body is still fighting, and I hope it keeps fighting and doesn't give in!!! :) Thank you for your prayers for Stephen and his family regarding all of this with his Grandma.
Damaris has had hardly any accidents in the last couple weeks - I am SO glad that we are past the ridiculous accidents every time I would turn my back...plus she sleeps through the night without a diaper! I am so glad to be FINALLY done with diapers. She is saying so many more words, and it is fun to see her make up her own stories and play by herself - we only have a small window for this since she only is by herself (other than sleeping) when Titus is in the bath. It has been fun watching her really come into herself - she is growing up right in front of me into a little girl. And just for fun, she weighs about 26 pounds, is wearing 2T pants and is just going into 3T shirts. She wears size 6 shoes.
Titus is doing pretty good - I think he really likes the hour he has in his room, which is something he dreaded at first. I can hear him playing up there most days, and he always sounds like he is having fun playing by himself. A lady at our church said something to me that I think is true - she said that kids about this age start getting bored and then start acting out because of it. I think that is true for Titus right now. I am going to have to get creative and find ways to challenge him a little bit. He weighs about 33 pounds, wears 4T pants, and is just going into boys size 5 shirts. His shoes are size 9.5.
I have been having fun learning to make my own jewelry - since I really do not have any hobbies, this excites Stephen who has enough hobbies for about 5 of us :) :) :) Seriously, though...it has been fun, doesn't take up a lot of space and is easy to get out without it being too time consuming. I have also enjoyed making different things for dinner - like yesterday I made my own crescent roll dough for a chicken casserole dish. I feel like miss Suzie Homemaker :) :) I never thought I would enjoy making things like I have been the last couple months. And I don't think my mixer has ever gotten so much use - yesterday I used it three different times! I have also enjoyed getting out and walking with the kids and the dog since the weather has been SO nice the last week. I gave up desserts and candy for Lent...RIDICULOUS. I have such a sweet tooth, so this is very hard for me. I have plenty of discipline, so not eating it is not the hard part - it is saying no and longing to have it. Already looking forward to Easter :) :)
Stephen has been busy with stuff at the church - in The Wesleyan Church, spring is a very busy time with meetings and such as the conference year comes to a close, and on top of that is Easter, which is always busy for us with different things Stephen likes to do with the church. He REALLY wants to ride the motorcycle, but 40 degrees is still a little cold for that :) :) He has been into buying tractors lately (toys of course :) ) and is selling some of his N-scale train engines to buy a nicer train engine that is better quality than the ones he has now. He has been working on projects for the church in his garage, which is really giving him the itch to start some woodworking projects of his own. Two of his favorite websites are eBay and SwapTree (you simply swap movies, books, DVD's, or video games with other people, with no cost other than to ship the item - it is pretty cool!). Stephen gave up coffee for Lent...he said although he wishes he could have it, giving it up has not been as hard as he thought it would be.
And that's our family right now... :)
