This year was a bit crazy with the kids being on two different teams - games three nights a week, or both playing at the same time in different locations. So this year the season seemed short in some ways, and really loooong in others! :)
It was hard for Titus because he was in the older group, and only playing one year in t-ball, he really needed another year before jumping up...but he had super great coaches, and they worked with him. He is saying now that he doesn't want to play next year, but I really hope he changes his mind. The last few games one of the coaches started pitching underhand to him, and he was able to get on base several times, so that made a HUGE difference.
Damaris made such huge improvements from last year to this year - she "gets" it now, and it was fun to watch! I think she had more fun this year than last, and really gained some confidence.
Ready to get the ball
Ready to hit
She has a great swing! At the beginning she hit more off the coach than the tee. Towards the end, I am not sure what changed, but she had to hit it off the tee every time. But the hand/eye coordination will come...the swing is so important, so I am glad she has that down!
Titus got to be the catcher this week! He looked soooo cute out there!
The gear was a bit big for him! :)
He did a great job throwing back to the pitcher!
And he did a great job staying in there and not being afraid of the ball, which is what we thought would be an issue.
Toward the end he started sitting down more :)
I think he had fun :)
