Family Vacation - Part 2

Wednesday was spent at the water park at the resort next door to where we stayed - this was what Damaris got for Christmas!  We were going to go to one earlier in the year, but she decided to wait and try this one out while we were on vacation.

The avalanche of water...I love Titus's face here :)

Stephen surfing :)

I couldn't get a ton of pictures because we spent all day doing the rides :)  It was a lot of fun, and I know that Damaris enjoyed her "gift" which was even better :)

Then Dan and Kara gave Titus his gift for his birthday since they wouldn't see him on the 17th

Legos and a pirate book...he loved them both!

On Thursday, our last full day there, we spent hanging around the area.  Stephen had a conference call so the rest of us hiked up Boyne Mountain on a paved trail they have.  It was foggy so we didn't have the greatest of views, but we still saw some cool things!

Like a deer

Who was staring right at me... :)

Then in the afternoon everything cleared right up, so Kara and I decided to hike up the hill right behind our condo.

Halfway there!  Pictures never do it justice...it was quite the hike to the top :)

Looking back at where we stayed while we were halfway

At the top!  Such a beautiful view!

Then in the afternoon Kara and Dan planned a trip to Call of the Wild in Gaylord, which is not far at all from where we stayed.  They were going to take Titus and Damaris so Stephen and I could have a couple hours to ourselves, but Titus was having some behavior issues and lost the privilege to go.  Oh the sacrifices we make for our kids in order to try to be good parents...I am sure many of you can relate LOL

They also stopped at an Elk enclosure to check out the elk :)

This picture cracks me up :)

We ended our last night there by a fun game of shuffle board.

We had such a great vacation...the weather was beautiful, and we enjoyed everything we were able to see and do!  Boyne is such a great place to stay if you haven't been there before.  A lot to see in the surrounding area, and lots to do at Boyne Mountain itself.  It is such a pretty area of Michigan!
