Prayer Requests

There are a few major prayer requests that I would like to pass on:

At the Married Couples Retreat this weekend, they said a pastor's family was in a really bad accident. Since it is so close to home where I grew up, my mom provided a few more details. Tabor McComiskey is the new youth pastor at Burnips Wesleyan. He was helping replace the roof on a parsonage and a crash occurred when a milk truck driver hit his wife's car, rupturing the gas tank and engulfed her car in flames, killing their 16 month old son Taylen, and the wife has over 40% burns over her body. Pastor Tabor was burned also as he ran to the site and pulled his wife out. Pass the word along for prayer for them and the church. The 20 year old driver has a lot to face as well but did escape injuries.

I work with Bonita Wuertley at the college, and her daughter JoEllen Hummel (I actually went to college with her) is pregnant with triplets and is only 25 weeks along. I asked Bonita how she was doing on Saturday at the retreat, and Bonita said she just got a call from her and her husband Burke - her water broke and they were rushing her to the hospital. I checked their website today and they have managed to stop the contractions and the babies seem healthy, but she will need to stay at the hospital until she has them. Pray for the family as they are going through this hard time, and also have another little girl that is 3.

Last night we received a call that Bob from our church was taken to the hospital - he has been sick all week, and was not getting better. There are a lot of complications, including a dark area on the bottom of one of his lungs - they do not know if it is Pneumonia, or if it some sort of tumor. They are running more tests, but he is not well - Stephen said he did not even know what day it was even though they told him over and over.

I know that there are many more, but these are the ones that are heavy on our hearts today...
