Retreat

The married couples retreat was really good this weekend. The music was probably one of my favorite parts of the whole thing. My second favorite thing was just hanging out with different people...and I was pleasently surprised at how many West Michigan District people there are in Indiana North! Mike and Krista Brown were in West Michigan for a while while Mike was a pastor, Kristy (Perkins) Sloan was there, Jon and Anni of course, and Becky (I think she is Nick Hect's sister??) Christianson. I am sure I have missed some, but it gave me a little feeling of home having others there that I have known for years.

It was SO nice to not have to worry about Titus (Thanks, Kara and Jen A for watching him!!!). We need to get away more often!!! Anyway, we got second place in a volleyball tournament and won a waterbottle filled with candy, and first place in the Wildcat games (which were kind of like relays) and won a t-shirt. What can I say, it take a lot of talent to shoot q-tips into a tub, frizbees through a hoop, etc. I felt like I was in elementary school again, or maybe even youth camp. It brought back a lot of memories :)

Unfortunately we don't have any pictures, but we promise to take pictures when we leave on Thursday for VACATION :) Have a great week!
