The last month we feel like we have basically dropped off the face of the earth...
Stephen has been very busy at the church. We had revival services at the beginning of October, and his dad was the evangelist and his uncle the song leader. Services started on Sunday and ended Wednesday. His parents, two sisters, and cousin came down on the Friday before and stayed at our house. Even though his sisters and cousin had to go back to work, it was nice they could come for a little while. His parents stayed until the next Friday afternoon. It was SO NICE not having to cook...especially since just thinking of cooking makes me nauseous...After that it was meetings and services and visits with people. We really haven't seen each other more than two days these last 2 weeks or so. Then last Sunday Dr. Aron Willis, our new District Superintendent, came and spoke at our church and then he and his wife took us out for dinner and then back to their house for some amazing pumpkin pie. We had so much fun getting to know them! His friend Nate from IWU was visiting from New York and so they drove down and were able to see their friend Tyler who lives in Indy. Stephen said he had a great time, and it was great to see friends from school again.
I have been sick day and night for the past 4-5 weeks and am pretty tired of it...but since I will be 12 weeks tomorrow, hopefully I will start to feel "normal" again. It has been a pretty stressful past two weeks and work has been crazy on top of it, so that doesn't help either. By the time I get home from work, take care of dinner, spend time with Titus (and Stephen if he is home), and then put him to bed, I am ready to go to bed! One night I feel asleep on the couch at 8...and I think I could do that every night :) Last weekend I went up with Titus and my two sisters to my grandparents' 65th wedding anniversary open house. They didn't know we were coming, so it was fun surprising them. Plus I got to see my friend Sara and her daughter Grace who is about 6 months younger than Titus. Then tomorrow is the Indiana North District Women's retreat, and a lot of us from our church are going. It is up in Shipshewana and Gloria Gaither and her daughter Amy Hayes are the speakers/song leaders. I am looking forward to going. In a week I go in for another doctor's appointment, so I am sure we will be able to hear the heart beat, which will be nice. I am due May 4, but I am guessing the baby will be born in April the way Titus came :) I am hoping to avoid the bedrest, though...
Titus is walking around all over the place. Since he took his time learning to walk, he very rarely falls. He is adding more words to his vocabulary almost every week. We just get laughing sometimes at what he comes up with. His newest word is "tractor" which makes Stephen and his family happy :) He also just learned frog, flag, cow and even makes the "moo" sound. He also just learned how to drink out of a straw. He gets very excited about going to bed and sometimes says "nuh nigh" when he wants to go to bed - or even if he sees a bed, or sees a picture of someone with their eyes closed. It is very cute :)
Well, that's all for now...once I get feeling better hopefully I will feel more up to updating this...
