Vacation - September 21-23

We left on Thursday, September 21 after Michelle got out of work and finished packing. Our first destination was camping with our friends Gene and Annie at Brown County State Park in Nashville, IN. We were on target to reach the park around 6:30, but blew a tire on the camper. Unfortunately we did not have the right size wrench, so Stephen stayed with the camper while Michelle and Titus drove around searching for someone who sold one - 2 HOURS LATER Michelle finally returned...strange that no one around there knew there was a Wal-Mart the next exit down, and aparently tool shops don't carry wrenches - or maybe they just hire people who don't even know what a screwdriver is, let alone a wheel wrench. :)

We finally got to the park around 9 PM, and crashed in bed around 11, completely exhausted. Gene and Annie couldn't come until later in the day on the 22nd, so we went back to Wal-Mart to see if they sold extra tires or knew of a place that did (no luck). It was rainy and cold, so after we got back we drove around the park (which is beautiful by the way). Eventually the rain let up, so we started on a trail near where we were camping. That night, Gene and Annie took us to The Seasons restaurant which is super nice - probably the fanciest one we have been to in a long time. Annie's dad is (I think) the head chef there.

We hung out in our camper most of that night and the next morning because of the cold and rain (our camper is REALLY small for 3 kids and 4 adults), but we still had a lot of fun. We packed up after lunch and headed on to Asbury College in Wilmore, KY to see a friend of Stephen's from Michigan. We were running pretty late because we stopped just north of Louisville where we finally found a spare tire. Even though we didn't have a lot of time, it was fun spending time with Caleb, who we basically consider our brother :)
