Lots of Pictures!

Ebony is gone :( It is still sad to think that if we could have just had her housebroken before Damaris came, things would have been so different...but I am still very excited about where she will be living!!

We have not started to potty train Titus yet, but we do occasionally set him on it so that he is familiar with it. I still don't think he is quite ready, but last night he went for the very first time!!!!!!!! He thought it was funny and said "again" when he was done...so hopefully that is a good sign! We aren't going to push it right now, but if he starts going more frequently we might give it a shot!

I know this is a Christmas dress, but there is no way she will be able to wear it in 3 months...so we decided to put her in it now :) She was just too cute, and she actually was smiling for the camera...except I was running really late for church praise team practice, so the full-body shot didn't turn out like I would have liked :( If you click on the picture on the left, you can see her eyes really well.

Those of you that went to IWU probably know about Taste of Marion that Residence Life Week puts on each year (it has grown a LOT in the last few years!). Every year our church has a table, and passes out cans of pop and candy and talk to students about the church. It was a great success, and this Sunday we had 5 new students visit our church!! We are crazy, I know, but we like being spontaneous, so we inviting everyone over...which ended up being 10 adults around our table. We had a lot of fun, and probably the highlight for me was mentioning at dinner that I didn't have a dessert, but that maybe we could make no-bake cookies. EVERYONE crammed into the kitchen and began either washing our dishes, emptying our dishwasher and loading it again, and making cookies. Then we just spooned them warm on to our plates and pigged out! It was great :) There is no way we could do this every week, but hopefully from time to time we can have students over...I think it meant a lot to them, and made them feel more connected to our church...they sounded like they would come back!

Our friend Chris (he is flying solo this week with his family in Wisconsin) and our new youth pastor David Scott. He and Dena are getting married in May. They are GREAT and we can't wait to get to know them better!!

Playing Mario Cart on N64.
I missed getting a picture of Mary Sue, Stephen's cousin, and Jenn, my cousin. Sorry guys!!

Thanks to Chris, we now have quite a few pictures of Damaris that are adorable...it was hard to choose which ones to put on here!! It's funny because I never realized it until these pictures, but every time Damaris is really smiling, she almost always has her mouth open :)

And, last but not least, here are the promised pictures of our 20's classroom...

Before...and After
(we took all the ceiling tiles out and spray painted the bars dark blue. The registers are also that same dark blue. It looks so much better and even the ugly carpet looks better with the new colors :)

ignore the mess on the table ;)
