On Saturday afternoon we invited friends, family, and people from the church to join us in celebrating Damaris as she turns 1 year old (her birthday is not on the 19th, it is actually on the 21st - today!).

Me, Marge, and Phyllis...Ellen and Mary

Bethany, Titus, and Valerie...Dillon and Damaris

Maria, Timothy, and Pastor David playing the Wii...Jeremy, Angela, and Seth watching

Kara, my Dad & Mom...Jackie and Grace (4 weeks old!)

Titus and Kara

Singing Happy Birthday and blowing out the candle

Hmmm...what am I supposed to do with this?? OK, once you cut it I understand, but I am still not sure about this new taste!

This is good...I am going to clean my plate right up!

Time to open presents...I look super cute, and LOVE my sunglasses

This doesn't taste quite like the cake...Hold on - I almost have it!

OK, maybe I need a little help...

I told Titus pink wasn't his color...so he left me alone to open the rest of my gifts.

Checking out the goods...and reading my cards

Titus being silly

Kara being silly

pooped out and snuggling with Grandpa and Grandma Snyder
We had a great day, and it was fun seeing people we hadn't seen in a while. Plus Damaris did amazingly well, which was a relief! She was super clinging - and that continued all weekend - but that is understandable when there are that many people in one place! :) Of course I have to admit that it does feel good since Titus was (and still is) a Daddy's boy.
In other news, I realized I never gave a final report on what I think of my haircut...and I REALLY like it. It is super easy to do in the morning (less than 5 minutes, all I do it blow dry with a round brush), and it is nice to have something completely different than I ever have had before. The only down side is that I will have to get it trimmed every 4-6 weeks (probably 8 in my case since my hair grows super slow), but I suppose that is healthier for my hair anyway.
Also, I really think Damaris still has ear infections...we go on Wednesday for her 1 year check-up, so I am just pushing through until then...she continues to be fine during the day but not sleeping at night. After 3 weeks of this I am exhausted...I really do feel like I have a newborn all over again.
Also, in spite of the cool spring we have had so far, we had a couple nice days and took the kids outside. Here are some pictures:

Damaris laughed so hard when we were swinging her...and she thought the grass was pretty fun too!

Titus playing...and staring at us - as if to say "what?"
And last but not least...the final product on the painting...I really like the new khaki color and it looks so much better than the white painted paneling we had before! It also looks REALLY good with the blue we painted above the kitchen cabinets. Plus the curtains match both rooms, and I re-hemmed an extra set of these long curtains to go in our kitchen window, so both rooms really coordinate. I am not very good at this type of thing, so I was pretty excited that the rooms turned out like they did :) Long project, but glad it is DONE!

Have a great week everyone!!
