(on a side note...Chicago is not a fun place to be between 5 and 6 PM...it took us an hour and a half to go 15 miles!! Needless to say we took a different route when we drove home!!!)

On the ride up Thursday...both kids looked drugged :) I just had to take pictures because it was too funny :)

Titus and Stephen (sorry they are so blurry)
Wisconsin Dells is apparently the water park capital of the world...so of course we had to go to at least one place (indoors of course!!!). The fun part was that that kids could go with us on everything...it was a small place with only a few slides and a lazy river, but it was a lot of fun!

Titus loved the slides and the lazy river even though he screamed like he didn't...he really acted like he hated the whole place, but I think he was just overwhelmed. Even when he was screaming and crying we just kept taking him on various things, and then when we got done he was smiling and had fun...so I think pushing through his constant "no's" was a good thing?? He kept talking about it and wanted to go back the next day, so hopefully we didn't scar him by making him do things he said he didn't want to do :) It just amazes me how much he hates water...even though it is better after his swimming lessons this winter/spring.

Playing in the kiddie area...

The kiddie area was a huge ship, which was pretty cool...unfortunately I don't really have pictures of it :( Kind of hard to do when you are all wet and have two kids :)

Family picture

Titus...and me and Damaris

Jamie and Josh...Damaris and Titus loved their glass table :)

Damaris showing us the cat toy she found...and playing Wii boxing!! :)
We had a great time, but I didn't get a lot of pictures because we really just stayed around our cottage and relaxed for the most part. It was nice going to church with Josh and Jamie (Josh is the pastor) and spending most of Sunday with them. It was wonderful to just get away for a few days, just the four of us!!

I agree with pushing through Titus screaming NO...Geoffrey has a phobia of water also but then realizes it's super fun. And I LOVE your hair...it looks fabulous.
Sounds fun!! Glad you guys got to get away for a while!! I love the pic of you and Damarius! You look great in it and I love the new hair cut too!!
Looks like you guys had a great time. And we can sympathize with you on the whole Chicago thing...we don't miss living there, that's for sure! :) And the haircut looks great, Michelle!!
We understand driving through Chicago! We always planned our leaving time so we wouldn't hit rush hour! We also planned it so that Elijah & Isaiah were sleeping when we got to Chicago. (leaving Marion at 5 or 6pm is usually the best time to miss most of the aweful traffic as well as taking the tollways, you may pay extra to go through, but it cuts your time!) We traveled through Chicago several times to visit my family in WI.
Looks like you guys had fun. The Dells are a great place to go! We'd always camp at Devil's Lake outside of Baraboo and then drive up to the Dells when I was growing up. It's crazy to see all the "new" waterparks up there. But I'm glad you guys got to go!
Thanks for coming! We had a blast being with you...and were thinking how much nicer & different it would be if we had just one set of familiar friends living up here with us...wow. Glad you got home safely too!
So glad that you guys were able to take a vacation together :) How fun! That picture of you and Damaris is sooo good!! Your hair looks great :) Makes me want to chop my hair too!!
So fun! YAY! I'm glad that it was a great getaway! And as always...LOVE the pics!
