Is it Friday yet???

Here are some pictures of the kids on Sunday. It was so beautiful so we walked down to the park by our house. It was cute to see Titus playing with some of the other kids and being goofy...he is pretty hesitant to interact with other kids (partly because he and Damaris are usually the only two kids at the place where I take them while I am at work, and at church there are very few kids his age), so it was encouraging to see him having fun and meeting new friends!! Also, on Monday, Stephen had his first softball game for our church league that he is in, and Titus had SO much fun playing with the other kids there, which was also encouraging. He didn't want to leave and keeps asking to go back :)

Our little monkey :)

Just chillin' with mom :)

As for what is going on in our lives...it can be summed up in two works...TOO MUCH!!!! I am kind of reaching my end...I am definitely a homebody/introvert (I wonder where Titus gets his "loner" tendencies from ;) ) and the past few weeks have been RIDICULOUS. I am too tired to really think about it, but I am pretty sure we have not had a quiet day/evening at the house just the four of us since we returned from our vacation on April 14!!!!

Stephen and I have been able to squeeze in a couple short date nights after one of us returned from meetings and the kids were in bed, which isn't ideal, but there just weren't any other times. It is kind of hard because my busiest/most stressful times of the year at work are January and February, closely followed by August and September...and Stephen's job starts picking up with LOTS of evening meetings in April and May...so it really is not very good timing :) We just had our Local Church Conference last night, so although he will have a few extra evening meetings in May and June as we begin the new conference year at the church (he has to meet with the newly elected committees and planning for the year), hopefully it will get better????

I really shouldn't complain...God has seriously helped my attitude immensely these past two weeks...because with my love language being quality time, when I don't get it, I tend to become nasty to Stephen...and I really have been able to stay pretty positive about the whole thing other than this past Monday and Tuesday when I started to really feel the lack of time as a family. SOOO, hopefully I can make it through the next 24 hours and enjoy tomorrow evening
--- since we have NOTHING we have to do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am not sure the kids will even know how to act or remember what it is like to actually have both Stephen and I together for more than a few minutes :)

Thanks so much for your tips Michelle! I really appreciate hearing from other Moms what works for them and what doesn't :) I'll have to get one of those Nuby cups. I've seen them before I just haven't bought one, but Allie likes drinking through a straw so maybe that will be a good option for her!!

I'm sorry you guys have been so crazy busy lately. I really hope that things slow down for you soon so you can enjoy more family time. I'm not sure if I commented on your last post or not but congrats on getting a different job! It sounds like it could be the perfect answer to you having a little more time off without it being a financial burden :)

Your kids are so cute!! I enjoy reading about what you guys are up to!!

Totally unrelated to this post, but we postponed our LCC to the first Sunday of June. Just an FYI. Can't wait to see you guys again!
