Lots Going On

My little chefs helping in the kitchen :)

Funny how God quickly changes our perspective to what is really important in life, and yet it is encouraging to know that He cares about the little details, too. My uncle passed away this weekend, and it is the first aunt/uncle on either side, so it is kind of hard. My dad's sister is actually in poor health, so when I got a call asking for my A. Shirley's number because my U. Darrell had a heart attack and they wanted to call her, I thought the person had their information confused. My parents were out of town without cell phones, so they actually found out just a few minutes before I did! Please pray for the family, especially my A. Shirley, and for all those traveling for the funeral.

In other happenings...with the long weekend, I decided to try potty training again - and Titus did SO much better than I thought. There were definitely frustrations (peeing in his timeout chair and laughing about it (yeah, I made him clean that one up himself) and
making it through church all morning then going in his pants as soon as we got in the van - just after I asked him if he had to go potty), BUT by the end of the first day, he was telling me he had to go potty instead of me asking, and even doing everything by himself! I know we are not there yet, but we are CLOSE. I really thought it would be so much worse than this with him...but it comes down to the two biggest pieces of advice that were priceless: don't push it if he is not ready, and find something that motivates him. Apparently stickers and saving up coins to buy a toy he saw at Cracker Barrel are huge motivators :)

Unfortunately I do not have many pictures of Titus (mainly because of potty training and not being dressed enough for pictures, another piece of advice that helped, I think), but I do have some cute ones of Damaris, and even a video of her walking...a little. She still doesn't care, and prefers to crawl :)

She LOVES the tractor...and a new favorite trick she does to make us laugh

Here is the video...sorry it is sideways! You will also hear her talk at the end - I can't figure out if she said "boo" after she got Stephen, or if with falling she said "boom". She definitely says "uh-oh" when she drops the remote, though. Not sure what is up with her crazy hair... :)

Damaris is such a cutie! I'm sorry to hear about your uncle. We'll be praying for your family. Miss you guys!
