Nashville - Part 3

The weather was so warm and nice while we were in Nashville.  Even though it was cloudy on our last day there, it still felt like spring!  We went for a walk at a nearby park - it didn't even have signs to get to it, so you definitely have to be local to find it...but it was PACKED and Steve and Freda said it normally is hard to find a spot because of how popular it is.

The was a nice hiking trail that we took around the lake, but then there were also other trails you could do that went up the mountains.  It was beautiful even though everything still has that dead look from winter.  It must be breathtaking in the spring and summer, and especially in the fall!

The lake we walked around

Small little waterfall

Cardinal!

Another cardinal

These guys scared us!  We were crossing a little bridge/walkway and one of them was under there and flew right out in front of us.  I didn't realize owls were that active and noisy during the day...maybe because it was cloudy??

I wish I could get a better picture, but he was so far away, and the sky was so bright behind him, so it was hard to get good color on this picture.  But I still thought he looked cool!

This loon and the female were diving for fish in the lake...he has some very red, beady eyes!
