Much Needed Get-away

Back in fall of 2010 for Pastor Appreciation the church got us a one night stay at The Shack in a room with a fireplace and a Jacuzzi.  We had scheduled our get-away a couple times and unavoidable things came up and we had to cancel.  This summer, I set out three different weekends just in case!  So last weekend was our night away.  Stephen and I both commented on how nice it was to get away just the two of us for no other reason than to spend time with each other.  It has been a WHILE, and much needed.

The Shack is in the middle of nowhere - in fact, we had no cell phone reception at all.  It was on a lake, and was very quiet, so it was a nice place to slow down and have a little peace and quiet!  The decor is very rustic/country feel...not really my style, but they did a good job with their theme.  One thing that is super nice is that all of your meals are covered during your stay, and each night at 8:30 they have a banana split ice cream bar - yum!

Anyway, here are a few pictures of our get-away.

After we checked out we went for a paddle boat ride.  This was a cool bridge/gazebo area.

This is such a nice picture of Stephen!

This is the main building where the office, dining, and game rooms were

Doesn't this just look so restful?!?

Thanks CLCC!  It was super nice to get away with my hubby :)
