Last Tuesday during Spring Break, Stephen and another dad went up to Hartwick Pines, which is a state park a couple hours from us. They had a great time, and here are some pictures that Stephen took:
There are a lot of really huge trees
This one was fun!
So everyone took a turn climbing inside :)
This stump is HUGE!
Small little chapel in the woods

Hartwick Pines is know for its logging history...this is some of the equipment they used to use.
This was used during the winter to create the path they used to haul the logs out.
The huge "V" pushed the snow to the side as the horses pulled it.
More logging equipment...
A lot of it was still locked up for the winter
Stephen and Troy both said that it was a great day, and the kids really seemed to enjoy it as well! I have never been, so hopefully next time I can go, too!
